The firmware 1.1.31 update available for Motorola Cliq now
There was news said that the sale of Motorola Cliq had been hurt by its short battery life. It seems that Motorola has taken some actions to solve this problem. Now Cliq users can download the firmware 1.1.31 update, which includes better power management and other improvements, from the official website. Enhancements includes:
- Longer battery life;
- New power management function: users can customize their own power management setting., for example, switch off data connection when the battery only can last for 30 minutes talk time;
- Better bluetooth support: Improvement of pairing, better audio connection;
- Support of TTY;
- Better support for business users: Improvement of connection to company email accounts;
- Improvement of phone calls: Solve the bug that the call was still connected after hangup
- Upgrade to Quick Office 2
- Improvement of the accuracy and reaction speed of accelerometer.
Even though some users are disappointed by the fact the firmware 1.1.31 for Motorola Cliq is still based on Android 1.5 instead of version 1.6. There is also report said that T-Mobile has lost interest in Cliq despite of the new update.
PS: No sure whether there is also update for Dext. Maybe Motorola can win more customers with Dext outside US.
