More screenshots of Motorola Droid (Milestone)

“One picture is more than 1000 words”. Though more and more people like to use videos to demonstrate, personally I prefer screenshots as they are more clear in a lot of cases. Especially for smartphones like Motorola Droid (Milestone), software is more important for users experience. Here are some screenshots of Motorola Droid I found from ifanr, which will give us some feeling about apps on Motorola Droid (Milestone).

The 3.7 inch screen size is a big advantage of Droid, which make the UI and the list of apps on Droid more clear:

Most apps of Droid can be displayed on on screen, which is not possible on Android G1 (users need to scroll to access many frequently used apps)

Here is the app to check the weather

There are more setting options (in a list) than previous Android version

Here is the main page of turn by turn Google Navigation system:

How good the Google navigation system is only can be verified during driving, which has not been demonstrated in most review of Droid. According the user who submitted these screenshots, the Google navigation system in Droid is excellent. Especially the real-time traffic will be marked with different colors on the map, for example, red means there is serious traffic jam. The crowd-sourcing method Google used to enhance the GPS system is so powerful that it becomes a big threat to traditional GPS vendor like Garmin and Tomtom.

There is a separated area in Android Market for “Verizon”, which should be different on Droid/Milestone customized for other operators.

Reading email in landscape view is very comfortable.

The big screen size of Motorola Droid/Milestone also makes other applications such as Twitter more pleasant. I am truly attempted by these screenshots. I think I am almost sure what present to buy for Xmas :)
